No, you can't. That use of imparfait is due to the si-clause and is similar to English. As far as I know, the topic of conditional clauses isn't yet part of the lesson structure on kwiziq.

If it rained today, would we still go out? -- S'il pleuvait aujourd'hui, on sortirait quand même?
