In the writing exercise, the translation of 'then'
Asked 10 months ago
Hi Wilmar,
Which writing exercise are you talking about?
Generally, there are not synonyms.
The adverb 'alors' is more 'so' whereas 'puis' ( or ensuite) is 'then' but without context it is difficult to be more precise.
Bonne Continuation !

You can think of alors as "so" and puis as "then". Puis is used to introduce a temporal sequence whereas alors is used in a causal sequence.
