Why does the "Hint" have: "-'it' = l'hotel", but considers "L'hotel..." as incorrect? I originally used "Il..." (considered correct) and changed it due to the hint!

Hi Homard,
The hints often are about the agreement between the verb and subject. In this case, you would use 'il' not to repeat 'l'hôtel' which has just been mentioned.
The English was -
it had a beautiful outdoor pool.
