J'ai encore des cadeaux à acheter. Why à acheter?

J'ai encore des cadeaux à acheter. I still have presents to buy. 
Why is it à acheter?
I would say "de acheter". Is this also okay?

No, that would be wrong. It's just that some verbs need de and others à. You develop a feeling for it with time.
