I answered "le votre". Would I say "le tienne" to a stranger, for example?
Je trouve ma dinde moins sèche que le tienne.

Hi Steve,
Talking to someone you said 'vous' to (could be just a mark of respect and not necessarily a stranger) you could say -
... que la vôtre
with a circumflex and it is accepted as a possibility.
Hope this helps!

Steve, no, you wouldn’t use “le tien’ or ‘la tienne” when talking to someone you would ‘vouvoyer’. ( Note, it should be ‘la tienne’ for ‘ ta dinde’, not le tienne or le tien ).
