I adore the construction with the "ne" expletif but is it used in "la langue quotidienne"?

The "ne explétif" is more and more shifting to the higher registers of language. You won't hear it much on the streets. It is, however, still considered good, proper French to use it where indicated.

Adore? I find it archaic and superfluous, especially as it isn't spoken. I don't care to write like Voltaire.
