Les cotons-tiges - cotton buds

Hi Anita,
Having checked with other French natives, the ‘bâtonnets ouatés’ is indeed what you would see on the box and is the proper way to describe cotton buds but I don’t think anyone would ask for one of those in everyday life but would use the more normal ‘cotons-tiges’.
Hope this helps!
