The boys cut out "des poissons," why do they stick "les" on their friends' backs instead of "en"?

I cannot find exactly what you suggest in the text -

Les enfants dessineront des poissons = The children will draw some fish

Puis, ils les découperont = Then, they will cut them out

... où ils pourront coller leurs poissons dans le dos de leurs amis = ... where they'll be able to stick their fish on their friends' backs

I'm not sure where you think you would put 'en'.
