liaison between words

when speaking, would après avoir  sound like 'aprèsavoir' - I thought we should link such words, (hearing the 's') but the reader did not in this case.

Hi Jennifer,

This is the case of an optional liaison, you can sound the -s ( with a -z sound) or not.

Does the same answer apply to "pas encore"?  How do you figure out if the liaison is optional or required?

Yes, it does.

I have created some detailed liaison lessons but we are not able to put them onto the system at this precise moment...
