(ne) personne

(ne) personne

"Elle a embrassé Alexandre, oui, mais elle n'a embrassé qu'Alexandre, personne d'autre." Is there a way to squeeze in a 'ne' to go with 'personne' here, if it is supposed to mean 'no one'? It feels weird that the 'ne' that pairs up with 'que' should extend to personne as well.

Bonjour Joakim !

You only need to use "ne" with "personne" when it's used with a conjugated verb:
"Je n'aime personne."

When just saying "no one", you will simply use "personne", so here, the "ne" is not required.

I hope that's helpful!
À bientôt !
