Nouns w/out Articles?

Nouns w/out Articles?

I thought that in french, nouns must always have direct or indirect articles. But in the last sentence of this exercice, "cuillère et fourchette" aren't given any.

Hi Drew,

The text says -

"... seront les couverts à dessert, cuiller et fourchette."

The 'les' refers to all that is mentioned and there is no need to repeat it.

Hope this helps!
