Nous détestons marcher- noy used -er for verb form, why?
This question relates to:French lesson "Using the infinitive form of verbs to express the English "-ING""
Asked 7 hours ago
Bonjour Satish,
When two verbs come together in French, only the first one is conjugated (to agree with the subject) whiile the second stays in the infinitive form.
Nous détestons marcher = We hate walking
J'aime danser = I like to dance
Noémie adore nager en mer = Noémie loves swimming in the sea
Bob veux ranger sa chambre = Bob want to tidy up his bedroom
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
