plus ou moins réussies d'ailleurs

It would be great if a translation appears too! I have to use a translator to get an idea of what the words mean in context and its not always accurate or reliable.

What is the role of 'd'ailleurs' in the above sentence? I am guessing it means 'anyway'. Thanks

I suggest trying "deep L" https://www.google.com/search?q=deep+L&rlz=1C1CHBF_en-GBGB746GB746&oq=deep+L&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i10i512j0i512l3j46i512l2j0i512l3.5337j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8.

It is done by the same team that does Linguee and I have found by far the most accurate translator for putting sentences in context.  I live and work in France and I find most translators terrible when you get past basics; this really gets closer than any.
