Shouldn't this read " whether it's a positive or negative sentence" ?

Hi Youbode,
The lesson is about using 'si' rather than 'oui' when you disagree with what is being said, so I don't see any problem with the English in this case.
Tu n'as pas fait les courses ? si, je les ai faites ce matin.
