Just to add to the other comments, I have checked and both

... tu as tenu ta parole
and
... tu as tenu parole

are given as alternatives for ' you kept your word'
It cannot be 'ton' as parole is feminine.

Hi Kathleen,"Parole" is a feminine noun. So I think that the sentence should be "Tu as tenu ta parole"Does this help?Jim

To add to Jim's comment on correct possessive:

Tenir parole - a fixed expression for 'keep (.....) word', so possessive not needed, but not wrong to use 'ta' (see earlier discussion below as well). Note - can only be used for people.

Whereas "Tenir ses promesses" - a fixed expression for 'keep (.......) promises', possessive needed.
