For the last phrase, que je vous ai préparée, why is the "e" added to préparée. Shouldn't it be an "s" because vous is the direct object.

The past participle agrees with the direct object ‘surprise' which is feminine -
La surprise que je vous ai préparée

If < vous > is a single female being addressed politely, it would be correct. I haven't done this exercise yet so unsure if it is in there but it would need to be known from the lesson hints :
