Question: Elle va ________ Havre aujourd'hui.
She's going to Le Havre today.(HINT: Le Havre is a French city). I noted the Le was missing in the question so after writing au, as being masculine I knew this was the answer but not having Le in front confused me so I added it, making my answer 'au le'. Why was the Le missing. Was this an examiners deliberate deception?Question phrase

Bonjour Jonathan,
You appear to be on the right track -- the lesson Il va au Havre.
"He's going to Le Havre""Where the compound definite article compounds à and le to make au."Elle va au (à le ) Havre"
Hope this helps
Bonne continuation
Jim
