Hi Brent,
If you are talking about someone's height you will use grand/e.
If you are talking about someone's girth you will use gros/se. Although it is not considered very polite and we tend to say fort/e instead.

Grasse is understood to mean "fat". You'd only use that adjective on someone after careful deliberation.
