Yes, "prendre" is an irregular -DRE verb, which means indeed that it doesn't follow the same conjugation rules as the majority of -DRE verbs that we call "regular", at least in Le Présent and Le Passé Composé for example.
However, it follows the same conjugation in Le Futur and Le Conditionnel.
