Bonjour,
I used different translations for the following three words/phrases:
"un désaccord" for "rift", which is listed in Collins dictionary as the translation for a "rift between people or governments"; and also in LaRousse for "une querelle"; Please note that neither Collins nor LaRousse has "une brouille" for the translation of "rift".
"se défaire de" in Collins for "to part with something" (as in "se séparer de"); and in LaRousse for "to rid oneself of";
"habile" for "skilled" in Collins for "skilled at/in something" as in "etre habile a quelque chose".
For "skilled" I purposely did not use "doué" because "gifted" while conveying a similar meaning is not the same in my mind as "skilled".
These were all marked wrong, but thoughts please? Qu'en pensez-vous ?
Merci beaucoup et bonne continuation,
Hilary
