"Je veux rien" marked as incorrect on the test.
I understand it's not the strictly proper, dictionary-perfect way to say that, but it's valid and there was no indication in the way the question was phrased that it was specifically the ne construction I was expected to use -- and nothing else.

Test question (my answer should be accepted)
This question relates to:French lesson "Ne ... rien = Nothing (French Negations)"
Asked 10 months ago
Hi Ivan,
Since the lesson is about using 'ne --- rien' it would be a bit odd to accept ' Je veux rien' even if is accepted in everyday speech, don't you think?
Bonne Continuation !

je pense que c'est toujours mieux si tu utilises rien seulement quand tu parles avec tes amies mais dans l'occasion different on utilise ne..rien
