I ai utilisé "se réunir" au lieu de "se retrouver" ou "se rejoindre" mais ce choix n'était pas accepté ? Pourquoi ?

To meet
se réunir has a bit of a different flavor, more like to "hold a meeting". The standard word in French would be one of the given options.
Hi Frank,
We really need one of the French ladies to comment here because there are subtle nuances.
Se réunir --> reassemble / amalgamate (or re. Chris above)
Se retrouver --> get together / meet (perhaps previously agreed between friends)
Se rejoindre --> converge / coincide
Hope this helps.
Jim
Bonjour à tous,
Chris is right that "se réunir" is mostly used in a work/formal context, like a meeting. If you are talking about meeting with friends (informal context), as per the context of this writing exercise, then you will use "se retrouver" or "se rejoindre".
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
