Une carrière vice ma carrière

Une carrière vice ma carrière

The English was "... choose a career".  "Choisir une carrière"  was not accepted.  Would the French always substitue a possessive pronoun for an indefinite article in such an instance ?

Hi everyone,

Thank you for pointing this out, we have changed the English to 'my career'.

Bonne Continuation!

Hi Frank,

I'm not at all sure, but what occurs to me reading the text; is that "ma carrière" would be appropriate in the context of the piece.

Is it not possible for you to test this point out?

Just a thought.

Jim

ma carrière is given as the correct answer even though the text to be translated is -

"when I had to pick a career".

I too wrote une carrière and was marked incorrect.

Also, the text "I found teachers fascinating" is translated as "je trouvais mes profs fascinants".

I wrote "je trouvais les profs fascinants" and was marked incorrect.
