Use of Adjectives
This question relates to:French lesson "Adjectives usually go AFTER nouns in French (Position of Adjectives)"
Asked 1 month ago
Dear Bruce,
On reflection, I have decided to alter my response -
You cannot say your first suggestion because the adverb has to be next to the adjective vieux
un extrêmement vieux parcheminis actually an anglicism and wouldn't be said in France
So -
un parchemin extrêmement vieux
is the only possibility using the adverb extrêment as explained in point 5 of the lesson.
Hope this helps!

Based on that why is this incorrect? Isn't etonnamment an adverb which would proceed an adjective? I am sure the grading is correct but I must not know my articles very well!
un étonnamment bon film
