Using "depuis" with the correct tense.

Using "depuis" with the correct tense.

"Suzanne hasn't seen him since 2013.'' -- This sentence does not make entirely clear whether Suzanne is seeing him now or not. In the first case it ought to be "Suzanne ne l'a pas vue depuis 2013", whereas in the latter it would be "Suzanne ne le voit pas depuis 2013", right? -- Chris.

Suzanne l'a vu depuis 2013 – She has seen him since 2013. (Statement: She has seen him since then but no further information.) Suzanne ne l'a pas vu depuis 2013 – She has not seen him since 2013. (Statement: She has not seen him since then.) Suzanne le voit depuis 2013 – She is seeing him since 2013. ( eg. They are going out together since 2013) Suzanne ne le voit pas depuis 2013 – She is not seeing him since 2013. (eg. They are no longer going out together since 2013) My take on the situation, but if this does not help you then you will have to await a native speaker's input. Best regards, Alan
