I think I may need a bigger dictionary! I am struggling to find the appropriate word. For example:
Le sol versus le plancher
imparable versus imbattable versus incomparable versus inégalable
évident versus manifeste.
Also the suggested answer "je vais faire une machine" seems to translate as "I'm going to make a machine"
Help !!

1. Le sol is the general word for 'ground/floor' as 'plancher' is man-made but would probably be ok here for a bedroom
2. Very similar words
3. C'est évident is the normal translation for 'it's obvious'
4. Faire une machine/ Faire une lessive = to put a wash on
