Hi Clive,
I see that you were asked to decide which of the two sentences were correct.
It is the first one as you suggest as 'pantalon' (masc) should take the masculine adjective 'long'
Hope this helps!

Clive, you haven't posed a question about this quiz question. What needs elucidating ?
Both sentences seem to me to be saying almost the same thing, The first one can be translated as "Véronique wears/is wearing a maxi-dress/long dress. The second sentence tells the reader that she is wearing long pants. My question is whether the masculine trousers with a feminine adjective, all be it an irregular adjective, makes the second sentence incorrect.
