Why is the "m" pronounced pronouncing "album", there is no "e" on the end.

For words borrowed from Latin like "album, forum, maximum, minimum"  the final -m is pronounced.

There will be exceptions, I am thinking of 'parfum'.

But on the whole, this rule of thumb works.
