Why not “ses” as the possessive?

I’m confused about why the possessive of “Ils” in this lesson is “se“ rather than “ses“?

This lesson is about reflexive/pronominal verbs and ‘se’ is not a possessive pronoun (or adjective).

‘Ses’ is a possessive adjective, and can qualify a noun but not a verb. I see ‘ses’ used correctly in the lesson in one example ‘…. ses bonnes notes’.
