Writing Challenge Week 57, level A1. I'm learning to play the piano.
The sentence is 'I am learning to play the piano.' The correct answer is "J'apprends à jouer du piano." Does the à go with the apprendre or with jouer? What is the link to the appropriate lesson? Thank you - I'm stumped! Terri

Bonjour Terri !
To express "to learn how to [do]" in French, you will use "apprendre à + [infinitif]" :
Il apprend à cuisiner.
He's learning how to cook.
J'apprends à faire du surf.
I learn how to surf.
Some verbs are followed by different prepositions such as à or de.
We don't have a specific lesson on these, but here is a useful list of similar verbs:

I hope that's helpful!

Bonjour Terri,
En le sens de cette phrase, l«à» va avec jouer. In French, there are certain verbs where à precedes the verb and certain verbs where it follows the verb.
There are certain dictionaries that explain this more in detail.
Bonne chance.
