Why is it 'le jeudi' not just 'jeud'i?

We are talking about a particular Thursday here...

How would one say ‘This week, I work from Tuesday to Thursday?’ (an exception). Would this be any different from how you would say that in general ‘I work from Tuesdays to Thursdays’? Thanks

Still unsure about when to use article “le” and days of the week. Could you elaborate more on this idea of specific context, maybe w an example or two?

 UNLESS "when giving a whole date (day/number/month/[year]), such as

Le mardi 5 mars, j'ai rencontré Lola.On Tuesday the 5th of March, I met Lola.

Par example on the test : Le mardi 6 janvier, j'étais malade.On Tuesday the 6th of January, I was sick.

HOWEVER< If the question was "On Tuesday I was sick" (without the whole date), it would be "Mardi, j'étais malade."

Are these correct?

1. J'étais née le lundi 26 mars 1983.

2. J'étais née lundi. (I was born on Monday) ...talking about a specific context / specific thing that happened on that day, so no "le" used?

3. La réunion est le mercredi 14 avril à 8h.

4. La réunion est mercredi. (The meeting is on Wednesday) .....talking about a specific context / specific thing that will happen on that day, so no "le" used?

1) Je vais au cinéma le weekend? (I go to the cinema on weekends) .....is correct?

2) Le weekend, j'aime faire la fête. (On weekends, I like to party) .....is correct?

3) C'est lundi.... ou.... C'est le lundi? (It is Monday)

In the question Audrey adores ____________. , I found the answer was le mercredis. Why did the answer use le instead of les ?

Which one is correct? And why?

When doing an A1 exercise, Kwizbot translates 'On Monday I go snorkelling', and 'on Tuesday Hugo and I rent a jet ski', with "le lundi....." and "le mardi...." . Surely this is inconsistent with the rule given in the notes, where using the definite article imp[lies every Monday, or habitually on Tuesdays ???? I did not use the definite article precisely because I interpret this sentence to mean the events were one time only, with reference to next Monday and next Tuesday??

One of the questions asks how to translate: "We go to the park on Sundays."  When I see the s on the end of Sundays I translate that as a habitual thing this person does every Sunday, a general activity not specific to just this Sunday.  I thus translated the sentence without an article in front of dimanche, to show that this isn't in a specific context, the speaker was speaking to a habit.  The quiz stated that I should have put an article in front of dimanche.  I have re-read the lesson, but still don't understand why I would translate it differently.  Please help :).
