Look at these plural forms of nouns ending in -eu:

Mes pneus sont dégonflés.
My tyres [US: tires] are flat.

J'aime les jeux de société.
I like boardgames.

Tu as les cheveux roux.
You have ginger hair.

Nouns ending in -eu generally take an -x in the plural.

Exceptions which take an -s :

This is misspelled, should be tyres.

Both spellings are correct : "tire" is more US, whereas "tyre" is more UK :)

Not exactly a typo, rather an alternative spelling- it is tyres in the UK.
I'll be right with you...
