Why is the answer "We will make a cake in a bit" and not "We are going to make a cake in a bit"? I can't see a meaningful difference between the 2 options in English.

Exercise: Emilie et toi ________ toujours polies. Emilie and you were always polite.

It seems to be that "Emilie et toi" = "vous," you plural => 2nd person plural verb.

But the right answer was a third person plural verb.

The same problem, I think, as with La Sorbonne issue belowWhy is "Qu'est-ce que c'est une baguette" marked as being wrong for "What is a baguette?" when the notes say that "Qu'est-ce que c'est un stylo" is correct for "What is a pen?"

What would be some example sentences for the rule ‘de is used after quelque chose, rien, quelqu'un, personne + [adjectif] ’?

Not entirely sure what this rule entails / under what circumstances it operates.
