seems like a direct object, and not an indirect objectI used les because it seemed like a direct object to me. So I could find helpful more clarity on why this is not a direct object in the sentence. Thank you.

1st person singular inversion

From time to time, in literature, I come across forms such as "parlé-je" e.g.

"Pourquoi parlé-je de Victor Hugo?"

Is this interrogative form still in use. Is it ever used in speech (probably not) or is it reserved for literary use?

Is the translation given for "Ça leur est arrivé la semaine dernière" above correct? I thought it means "they arrived there last week"?
