Noël chez mes parents Challenge

Bonjour Madame,

In the last line of the passage which reads “Ils viendront nous accueillir les bras grand ouverts.” The English translation suggests ‘They will come to welcome us with their arms wide open.’

Why doesn’t the French sentence use ‘avec’ and ‘leur’ unlike the English translation as given in the hint ?

Please clarify the grammatical reason behind it.

au dessus vs sur le dessusKwizbot et les œufs coupés en quatre sur le dessus. You et les œufs coupés en quartier au dessus. I'm wondering what the difference is between 'au dessus' and 'sur le dessus'?
