quand vs après queFor this translation: We will call you when we've taken the train, The correct answer used quand but I used après que. This was marked wrong. Aren't these two interchangeable?

Après avoir / après d'avoirAfter watching the film: Après d'avoir regardé ce film- was marked correct. Why it can't be said as: "Après avoir regardé ce film. Is it because 'watching' is considered a gerund ? Thanks.
