What is the rule as to when Qu'est-ce qui is used rather than Que?I have read through the lesson twice. There are many examples given but no clear guidance as to what they are supposed to be illustrating? Please could someone clarify? Thanks very much, David

Getting starsI just finished an A1 French test; had 5 correct & 1 nearly and received three stars. Then i took an A2 test; had 9 correct & received zero stars. It should have been the other way around?! Merci Charles

Just a comment. My French penpal drilled into my head "et demie", deux heures et demie, onze heures et demie, but she never told me about "midi/minuit et demi", which I learned here. :-)

Similar question. Ta télé est bien. télé is a noun, why not say "ta télé est bonne"?

C'est bon vs est bonneThe example says "la vanille, c'est bonne". why not "la vanille est bonne"? Especially since the ext sentence says "ces bonbons sont bons".

English translation of "une ovation publique".I wonder about the colloquial English translation of "une ovation publique". " A public ovation" is not a phrase which I have ever seen used, and for which I can't find an example on the internet. "Ovation" in English is almost universally used as a "standing ovation" for which the French appears to be "une ovation debout".
