bad questionElle pardonne à Paul et elle .....(forgives us) I thought about this question and as far as I know either elle pardonne à nous or elle nous pardonne would be correct. I chose elle pardonne à nous thinking it was parallel structure, but it was marked incorrect. Tell me how I should have known the correct response.

How about aider? Would one say Aidez-lui or Aidez-le? I've seen it both ways.

Uses of C'estHello, I am a bit confused about the standalone adject + c'est constructions. I thought that to use c'est it needed to proceed a noun within the sentence. Is what I'm seeing here a special case? Or do I have it completely mixed up (which wouldn't come as a great shock to me lol)?

Present or Past TenseWhy are there different tenses? Past tense in English but present tense in French.

à l'épicerie vs chez l'épicerieOn the week 70 writing challenge, A1 level, the question is 'Je vais ____ épicerie." I wrote chez l'épicerie, but it was marked wrong. If one says "Je vais chez le dentist" or "Je vais chez la boulangerie", why would 'chez l'épicerie' be wrong? I don't see a difference. Thanks for the help! Terri

savoir la réponse ou connaître la réponseIn an earlier quiz the correct answer was Je sais la réponse, but in this multiple choice question they use connaître for all choices. Are both correct?
