Gender of "on"In the Kaysersberg listening exercise, part of the transcript reads: FEMME: C'est comme quand on était petit Given that it is a woman speaking, shouldn't it be "petite" or does 'on' somehow default to masculine even when a woman uses it about herself?

Shouldn't "J'ai vu des endroits magnifiques" translate as "I've seen some magnificient places?"Here "des" precedes the noun, not an adjective, and therefore it does not become "de" or "d'" but it is still the partitive indefinite article "some."

My question is, in the above sentence, is the c'est as apposed to just est necessary, or is it just stylistic?

Je n’ai jamais aimé le goût de la viandeHello. In your week 26 A2 writing test the above line is given as a correct translation of 'I've never liked the taste of meat.' As this lesson shows I believe there may be an error here. In this context the verb describes an ongoing state of affairs, without a set start and without a set finish, (if indeed this state does end.) Unless I'm mistaken I believe this would be better expressed in the imparfait. I'd love some clarification here if possible. Thanks!

Quand at beginning or end?Why is ´Quand on ouvre les cadeaux ?´ an incorrect response in the testant ´On ouvre les cadeaux quand ?´ is correct? As per this lesson, when we use the inverted form, the question word is at the beginning of the sentence.
