"À tout à l'heure !" are there alternitives ?
Asked 1 year ago
Hi Robert,
Technically
à tout à l'heure /à plus tard = see you in a bit ( within a short time scale on the same day)
à bientôt /à très bientôt = see you (very) soon ( some time in the near future)
Hope this helps!

There are several - including '(à) tout de suite' not at all uncommon; '(à) (très) bientôt' - especially when the departure is for a short period to do something limited and specific.
Both commonly used as walking out the door to do the bins, duck quickly to the boulanger etc
