Adjective and canadian

If canadian in first example is an adjective, what is it in the second? Coz it seems also adjective to me.

Hi Salam,

If you mean in the following sentences -

1. adjective canadien /canadienne

Ma petite amie est canadienne My girlfriend is Canadian

Mon petit ami est canadien My boyfriend is Canadian

2. noun Canadien /Canadienne

Je connais un Canadien I know a Canadian man

Je connais une Canadienne = I know a Canadian woman
