Asking a question that leads to this negation, which tense to use here = ' Past/Present

While the lesson is clear that the le passé composé is used here to use depuis for negation, I'm not sure how to ask the question that leads to this response:

For example: When was the last time you your mother saw you?

- Is it: Quelle était la dèrniere fois/Depuis quand ta mere t'a vu/te vois?

In either the case the answer would be in passé composé: for instance: Elle ne m'a pas vu depuis longtemps

Thanks!

Bonjour Mike,

To answer ‘elle ne m’a pas vu depuis longtemps’, you could ask the following -

Quand est-ce que vous avez-vu votre mère pour la dernière fois ?

when was the last time you saw your mother?

Depuis quand n’avez-vous pas vu votre mère ?

→ when did you last see your mother?

Quelle est la dernière fois où vous avez-vu votre mère ?

When was the last time you saw your mother?

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
