Can one not also say « Vous aller au bureau de vote » to mean « you go to the polling station » ?

Hi Joseph, 

I think you are querying -

... vous allez  dans un bureau de vote = ...  you go to a polling station

You would use 'au bureau de vote' to indicate the one and only (or the one you have just talked about) but as there are several when speaking about voting generally, 'dans un' is more appropriate.
