Can't we use "nous" instead of "on"? How to figure out when to use "nous" and when to use "on"

Hi Mukta,

I guess so yes!   If it were felt to be important to specify who is performing the action(s).

Otherwise "On" is probably most appropriate for a couple of friends spending time together in a relaxed situation as suggested or implied in the text.
