Clouer vs enfoncer

Could clouer and enfoncer be used interchangeably here or is there a subtle difference ?

Bonjour G,

There is a slight difference:

Clouer = to nail [sth] down (with a hammer)

Enfoncer = to hammer [sth] in

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
