Confusing question
This question relates to:French lesson "Ainsi que = as well as, just as vs the way that in French"
Asked 2 years ago
This is a question with a drop down selection list of answers - only one of which can fit in French.
The ‘ambiguity’ is in the English use of ‘like’ that you suggest - it is commonly used nowadays when/where ‘as’ would have been preferred in the past.
The fact that there is more than one way to translate into English, doesn’t make the French ambiguous in its native form.

Maarten, this has just come up in a Kwiz and was a free text answer, not a drop down one. I must say that without knowing that "ainsi que" was being tested, I would’ve thought "comme" a valid translation for "as" rather than "just as".
