I used posé in "et j'y ai placé les tranches de pomme" and it says it is wrong. What is the difference between the verbs poser and placer?
Difference between poser and placer

Hi Winston,
There is not a great deal of difference in meaning between the verbs 'poser' and 'placer'. However, the verb 'placer' is more to put in a certain place and if you think of the way the apples are fanned out in a French apple tart the verb 'placer' is more appropriate. The verb 'disposer' is given as a possibility too.
Hope this helps!
