Faites or faisez

I was marked wrong on this one. Vous faisez la queue seems correct. Not understanding why it would be vous faites la queue? Thank you.

Hi Susan, 

This is what we call a 'logical error' and it is the kind that young French children also make as they pick up the conjugation patterns of grammar when learning to speak the language.

Irregular verbs catch learners out.

The verb faire is a very important irregular verb to learn, another example would be dire.

The mistake is saying :

vous disez

instead of

vous dites

You will get used to the correct form through practice.

Faire is an irregular verb. In present tense 'vous faites' is correct. There are many verb conjugation lists and reference sites available. 2 linked below
