A little bit to fast for me. I'm (probably) A2 - ie, not quite at the dizzy heights of B1 (That seems to be an impossible dream at the moment).
Having read the transcript and read the translation, I was able to follow most (70%) of what the narrator was saying.
I thought French was supposed to be easy! (It isn't).
I'm killing myself trying to learn it. I'm a doctor and supposed to be smart but French is the hardest thing I've ever done....
Reading C1, Politics, History & Economics, Celebrations & Important Dates, Listening or Seeing C1
I am just wondering if your frustration comes from attempting exercises way above your current level. This exercise is C1 which is advanced and your level is A2.
If you look in the library for reading practices, you will find some at the correct level for you.
If you are getting 70% of what the narrator is saying you are doing really well!
Not sure who gave you the impression that learning a language is easy but as is the case with any new skill, it takes time to acquire a level of proficiency.
Bonne Continuation !
You can use the settings (little gear in right lower corner) to set playback speed. I listened at about 75% and was able to get a lot more, while not distorting the words too much. Bonne chance!
In the Bonne Année email this is listed as B1, which may be where the confusion arose.
You are correct that there was a typo in the newsletter about the level of this particular exercise. Thank you for spotting this! (You can check the level of each exercise on the exercise page itself too.)
Merci et bonne journée !
