I used "une antilope aura chasée par un lion" withe the correct answer being "sera chassée" I thought it was always futur anterior after quand? I can see there are examples in the lesson but I am not clear when each one is used.

futur antérieur after quand
This question relates to:French lesson "Quand/lorsque/après que/une fois que + future perfect (Le Futur Antérieur) = When/after I've done something in the future (Sequence of Tenses in French)"
Asked 3 years ago

Hi Kay,
I couldn't find this particular example in this lesson but you could say -
une antilope aura été chassée par un lion = an antelope will have been hunted by a lion
or
une antilope sera chassée par un lion = an antelope will be hunted by a lion
Hope this helps!

Note that the passive voice in that sentence always requires être in the correct tense and not avoir. Aura (chassé) is not a form of être. Aura été (chassée), however, is le futur antérieur of être.
